Media Fair
The library media center will host the 2nd annual technology competition this year. Projects may be submitted anytime between January 4th through Friday, February 25th. The Media Fair Showcase will take place in the Library Media Center during Open House on Thursday, March 10th. Awards will be given at the End of Year Awards Ceremony. For more information, please click below.
The Fairfield Jr. High Media Fair is an event that highlights FJH students' application skills and computer knowledge. Students are able to unleash their creativity, learn how to convey information more dynamically, and enhance the learning process. The Media Fair categories include: Digital Art, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, and Photography.
Projects are to be designed and created by students. Entries may be projects originally designed for a class assignment or a project specifically designed for this competition. Some adult guidance is allowed, but it must be clear that all work entered by students was done by the students. If the project contains any material not written/created by the student, a bibliography must be included (reference to websites, online databases, and books).
Digital Art
Student artistic creations may be created through Google SketchUp or Paint.net.
Microsoft PowerPoint
Create a presentation using any combination of text, video, sound, and graphics on your choice of topic.
Microsoft Publisher
Newsletters and brochures will be accepted. Design a project using graphics and text on your choice of topic.
Photography
A picture is worth a thousand words, and a great photo can tell an entire story. Photos will be judged on visual composition, creativity, and technical qualities; as well as the story behind the photography. The story must be detailed and descriptive (who, what, when, where). Photos will be displayed in the LMC.
